How the sealed parcel moves
Escrow, tracked links, verification, and disputes in the order money moves. Every step involves someone’s funds.
Where the money sits
A brand tops up a PactReach wallet. Publishing a campaign does not move that money: it is still theirs and still spendable. The hold happens at the moment a creator accepts an offer: the exact deal amount plus fees moves out of the brand’s available balance and into escrow against that specific deal.
From that point neither side controls it. The brand cannot spend it on another campaign and cannot withdraw it. PactReach cannot move it either, other than by the rules below. A manual ledger adjustment requires two separate administrators to approve, and every one is recorded.
The full amount is reserved and cannot be spent elsewhere. It is released to you once the placement is verified.
Escrow has been released and the funds have settled to the creator wallet.
A deal, start to finish
Brand sends an offer
Deliverables, pricing and usage rights are fixed at this point. Nothing is held yet, and the offer expires if it is not answered.Creator accepts; escrow is placed
The brand’s wallet is debited into escrow and a fee snapshot is taken. That snapshot is what the receipt reproduces later, so a rate change afterwards cannot re-price this deal.Content submitted and approved
If the campaign requires approval, the brand reviews before publication and can request a set number of revisions. The review window is timed, and approval is automatic if it lapses.Creator publishes with the tracked link
PactReach confirms the post is live and starts counting clicks. The post has to stay up for the minimum duration agreed in the brief.Placement verified; escrow releases
Metrics are collected at the end of the measurement window and performance pricing is settled. The creator’s wallet is credited net of fees and withholding tax.
How we know it ran
Platforms differ in what they will tell us. Every placement is labelled with the tier it was verified at, and the tier limits which pricing models can be used.
Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube
Post-level insights come from the platform’s own API. Views, impressions and engagements are measured, so CPV and CPE pricing can settle against them.
X, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Threads
These platforms expose no post-level insights. We confirm the post is live and count clicks ourselves, so CPC and flat-fee pricing work, but CPV and CPE are not offered.
Screenshot fallback
Where an account cannot be connected, a creator can submit a screenshot of their insights. It is checked for tampering and reviewed by a person, and the resulting figures are labelled as an estimate wherever they appear.
What counts as a click
Each deliverable gets its own short link. When someone taps it, PactReach records the click and forwards them to the brand’s destination. Because we own that redirect, click-priced deals settle on a number we measured rather than one either party reported.
Not every click qualifies. Repeat clicks from the same visitor within a short window, known datacentre and bot traffic, and clicks that never reach the destination are excluded. Both sides see the total and the qualified count, and only the qualified count is paid on.
When the two sides disagree
Either side can raise a dispute while a deal is live. Escrow freezes immediately: nothing releases and nothing refunds while it is open. Both parties submit evidence, and everything already in the deal room is available to the reviewer.
The resolution splits the escrow between the two sides in proportion to what was actually delivered, which is often not all-or-nothing: a creator who published one of two agreed Reels has earned something. The split, the reasoning and the reviewer are recorded on the deal, and a large one requires a second administrator to approve before any money moves.
